OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
•To assist mine surveyors and leading hands in carrying out assigned survey tasks.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Assist with daily pit face pick-ups and staking of TBMs on mining faces.
•Support staking out pit designs, ore mark-outs, and survey points for geology exploration and RC grade control drilling.
•Assist with stockpile surveys as required.
•Support farm surveys and line cutting projects.
•Assist in setting out ground control points for drone flights.
•Work safely, accurately, and collaboratively while supporting senior survey staff in daily survey activities.
Qualification Required & Experience
Education & Qualification
•Diploma or Certificate in Surveying or related discipline from a recognized institution.
Experience
•Minimum of 1-3 years working experience in mine survey or a similar environment.
Knowledge & Skills
•Proficiency in the use of survey equipment, mainly total station and GPS.
•Good knowledge of UAV, mining surveying processes and practices.
•Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Software, especially Excel and Access, and data management.
•High level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills.
•Valid driver’s license and proficiency in driving light vehicle.
•Attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety.
•Ability to work under direction and supervision for most tasks.
