Job Vacancy For Electric Motor Rewinders (LV & MV)



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electric Motor Specialist to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate must have extensive hands-on experience in the inspection, repair, refurbishment, testing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of both Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electric motors used in industrial and mining applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on LV and MV AC electric motors.
• Perform complete motor overhauls, including dismantling, cleaning, inspection, bearing replacement, drying, assembly, and testing.
• Conduct condition assessments and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Carry out electrical tests including insulation resistance, polarization index (PI), winding resistance, surge comparison (where applicable), and high-voltage testing.
• Perform vibration analysis, shaft alignment, and troubleshooting.
• Install, commission, and supervise electric motor maintenance activities on client sites.
• Ensure all work complies with OEM specifications and relevant international standards.
• Prepare service reports and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
• Support emergency breakdown response and planned shutdown maintenance.

Qualification Required & Experience

Minimum Requirements

• NVTI (Part 1 & 2), HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' proven experience working on industrial LV and MV electric motors.
• Strong knowledge of induction motors, slip ring motors, synchronous motors, and associated control systems.
• Experience in mining, power generation, cement, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments is an advantage.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical manuals.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel and work on project sites across Ghana.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with vibration analysis and laser shaft alignment.
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques.
• Familiarity with motor testing equipment and diagnostic instruments.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
