Job Summary

An Eye Hospital is recruiting a qualified Optometrist to join its eye care team. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose vision problems and eye conditions, and provide appropriate treatment or referral to ensure optimal eye health for patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction and visual acuity tests.
• Diagnose vision problems, eye diseases, and abnormalities.
• Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and low vision aids.
• Detect signs of eye diseases and refer patients for specialist or surgical care where necessary.
• Educate patients on eye health, hygiene, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of optometric equipment.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Degree in Optometry from a recognized institution.
• Valid professional license or registration.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.

• Team player with a professional attitude.

Salary: GHS 6,000 – GHS 7,000 plus other benefits.
