OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

To perform preventive maintenance on assigned mechanical systems to support efficient plant operation and reduce breakdowns and downtime.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

•Complete maintenance tasks safely by ensuring work permits and lock out procedures are in place before work starts.
•Carry out allocated maintenance within required time frames to support plant availability and production targets.
•Install, repair, clean and lubricate mechanical components to maintain reliable operation.
•Inspect equipment and support preventive maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
•Report spare parts shortages to the Foreman in a timely manner.

Qualification Required & Experience

•Mechanical Technician Part I & II, HND Mechanical Engineering, Motor Vehicle Technician Part I & II, or NVTI Apprenticeship.
•Valid driver’s license.

Experience

•Minimum of 1-3 years working experience in a process plant.

Knowledge & Skills

•Good knowledge of crusher plant operations.
•Strong technical understanding of preventive maintenance.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality of work.
•Good interpersonal, written and communication skills.
•Medically fit for the position and work environment.
•Ability to drive a light vehicle.
