Job Summary:

• Provide expert and strategic leadership for MTN Ghana's enterprise infrastructure, cloud and foundational technology platforms by defining and executing a future-ready infrastructure and cloud strategy that enables business growth, digital transformation, operational resilience, innovation and sustainable competitive advantage.

• This role will lead the evolution of MTN Ghana's technology ecosystem towards a secure, cloud-enabled, AI-ready and highly automated operating environment and ensure that technology platforms remain resilient, scalable, cost-effective, compliant and capable of supporting current and future business demands while delivering optimal stakeholder and customer outcomes.

• Leading the modernization and transformation of MTN Ghana's infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise technology platforms in support of business growth and digital innovation.
• Enabling scalable, resilient, secure, and future-ready technology capabilities to support evolving customer and business needs.
• Driving cloud adoption, automation, and emerging technology initiatives while ensuring operational excellence and service continuity.
• Collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders, technology partners, and MTN Group teams to deliver strategic technology outcomes.
• Supporting innovation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement in a performance-driven and customer-centric environment.

Tasks

1. Infrastructure & Platform Leadership

• Provide strategic leadership for the design, delivery, modernization, and optimization of MTN Ghana's enterprise infrastructure and technology platforms.
• Ensure infrastructure services remain secure, resilient, scalable, and aligned to current and future business needs.

2. Cloud Transformation & Technology Innovation

• Lead the execution of MTN Ghana's cloud transformation strategy and the adoption of modern technology platforms and automation capabilities.
• Drive innovation through cloud, platform engineering, and emerging technologies to enhance business agility and operational efficiency.

3. Technology Resilience, Security & Governance

• Ensure the availability, resilience, security, and recoverability of critical technology services and platforms.
• Provide oversight of infrastructure governance, risk management, business continuity, and compliance requirements.

4. Technology Investment & Operational Excellence

• Oversee infrastructure and cloud investments to maximize business value, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
• Drive performance, cost optimization, service excellence, and continuous improvement across the technology environment.

5. Leadership & Strategic Partnerships

• Lead and develop high-performing infrastructure and cloud teams while fostering a culture of performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with technology partners, vendors, and key stakeholders to deliver business and technology objectives.

Qualification Required & Experience

Education

• First degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline
• Postgraduate qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field is required
• Relevant certifications in Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, Kubernetes, ITIL, TOGAF, cybersecurity, programme management, AI or machine learning are advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of progressive technology experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
• Significant accountability for enterprise infrastructure and hybrid-cloud environments
• Demonstrated leadership of large-scale infrastructure modernisation, cloud transformation and automation
• Practical experience with AI platforms, AIOps, analytics, intelligent automation or sovereign AI capabilities
• Strong financial, commercial, vendor and executive stakeholder-management experience
• Experience in telecommunications, fintech, banking, technology or digital services is strongly preferred
• Experience in multinational and complex regulatory environments is advantageous

Professional/Technical Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and technology architecture.
• Proven experience in infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, and technology strategy execution.
• Sound understanding of technology governance, risk management, cybersecurity, and operational resilience.
• Experience leading large-scale technology programmes and transformation initiatives within complex environments.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, investment planning, cost optimization, and value realization.
• Proven ability to manage strategic technology partners, vendors, and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong project, programme, and portfolio management capabilities.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies, automation, and AI-enabled solutions that support business growth and innovation.
