Job Description

The Assistant Internal Auditor is responsible for setting up the internal audit unit of the University College and shall implement roles including:

•   Assessing and reporting on the adequacy of controls relating to payments and receipts to secure value for money.
•   Determining the reliablity, accuracy, completeness and adequacy of the accounting and financial reporting systems regarding various units of the University College.
•   Evaluation of operational procedures to determine whether results are consistent with established objectives, goals and planned programmes.
•   Ensuring that the University College has a sound system in the place for achievement of set objectives in its strategic plan.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Applicants must have a good first degree in Accountancy (B.Com. B.Sc. Admin., Accounting option) in addition to the following:
•   Membership of a recognized professional body such as ICAG, ACCA, CIMA.
•   Three years post qualification experience in auditing.
•   Master's degree in Accounting or Finance will be an added advantage.
