Job Vacancy For Accountant



A reputable educational institution in Accra is seeking to fill the following vacant positions at its Head Office: Accountant

Main Duties and Responsibilities

•   Monitor and review daily transactions to ensure timely and accurate accounting and bookkeeping
•   Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly management reports that compare actual performance with budgeted performance
•   Preparation of quarterly and yearly consolidated financial statements
•   Preparation of budget statement
•   Preparation of Project Accounts
•   Monitor and analyse Account Receivables/Payables for management decision-making
•   Preparation of branch accounts and liaise with branch accounts officers and cashiers to reconcile branch current accounts
•   Manage and maintain the fixed assets register with regular physical verification
•   Payroll processing and related functions including statutory and other deductions and ensure deadlines for payment are met
•   Preparation of Bank reconciliations statement
•   Provide support to the Financial controller

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of a first degree in Accounting
•   Fully qualified member of an Accounting Professional body
•   At least five years working experience in similar role with a reputable institution
•   Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly word, excel, Access and PowerPoint
•   Good organisational skills
•   Excellent numeracy and report-writing skills
•   Proactive, result-oriented and with a flexible approach to work
•   Knowledge of and experience in working Accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc)
