A leading Multi-National Company based in Tema has vacancy for the following position and is seeking to recruit qualified, competent and interested candidates to fill the position:- Assistant Manager - Legal & Claims

Position Summary

Will be responsible among others for developing and implementing the company's legal and insurance strategy across the business to ensure compliance with the Law and protection of company assets and interests.

Competency Requirements

•   Must possess an LLB or equivalent qualification
•   Must have been called to the Bar in Ghana with a minimum of 2 years work experience as a Legal Practitioner in corporate, government or private practice with experience in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts and documents.
•   Should have a working knowledge of labour and insurance law as well as experience in commercial litigation and court room practice.
•   Proven analytical skills
•   Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
•   Must have high level of integrity
•   Familiarity with Maritime Law would be an added advantage

Major accountabilities among others

•   Assist the Legal Manager to ensure that all legal and insurance obligations ar fulfilled in due time.
•   Participate in reviewing and validation of all legal and insurance risks, conducting litigation and pursuing insurance claims etc.
•   Ensure that insurance claims are lodged in a timely and correct manner.
•   contribute to the building of a healthy work-force supportive of company's objectives
•   Actively promote safety awareness at all times and ensure a safe workplace policy.
