The Business Development Associate is a position that supports the General Manager to develop market entry strategies, identify and help to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential clients and to support in all business development activities. The BDA is expected to work independently and is a position for a mature, detail and customer oriented individual.

Through the provision of these services in an efficient and effective manner, the job holder will support the General Manager’s focus on driving the achievement of the organisational strategic objectives through business development and relationship management.

Nature & Scope

Our main focus is on development of renewable energy technology and we are currently working with other key partners to help low income families break their dependence on inefficient, expensive and harmful light sources by giving them cleaner and cheaper options.

Qualification Required & Experience

Person Specification

•   A minimum of  1-2 year business development and sales experience
•   Team player
•   Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database management
•   Excellent English writing and grammar skills
•   Fluency in other languages such as French is an asset
•   Excellent customer service skills
•   Ability to meet sales targets
•   Able to work in a multi-cultural environment
•   Past experience in product training and demonstration
•   Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
•   High ethical standards and transparent communication
•   Easily adaptable to function in a changing, dynamic environment.
•   Takes initiative in responding to tasks needing completion.
•   Must be able to manage time appropriately and meet deadlines
•   Flexibility in travel and a passport is required
•   Knowledge of renewable energy sector  and its intricacies
