Job Vacancy For Business Development Officer



A leading investment firm in Ghana requires the services of two (2) suitable persons with an excellent track record for the position of: Business Development Officer

Scope of Responsibilities

You will be carrying out identification and development of new business opportunities in the market; pursuing and engaging potential customers, exploring business opportunities; conducting research on competitors; assisting in developing the company strategy and other projects identified by Management.

Key Responsibilities

•   The key responsibilities associated with this position will include:
•   Analyzing and identifying potential growth and business opportunities available in Ghana.
•   Maximizing business opportunities through monitoring of trends in the market.
•   Participating in business plan formulation and implementation, including development of marketing & commercial strategies.
•   Tracking, monitoring and evaluating business performance, services and products so as to develop appropriate strategies that would ensure growth in revenues, market share and profitability.
•   Sharing of business intelligence gathered across the firm and related investment subsidiaries.
•   Preparing of all process documentation in relation to identified investment opportunities including business case documents and investment submissions as required by management.
•   Screening of potential businesses by analyzing market strategies, evaluating options and recommending equity investments.•   Building and maintaining a performance driven culture, based on the firm’s core values
•   Tracking and reporting on performance against agreed performance measurement indicators.
•   Building relationships with key stakeholders in the private and government sectors geared towards sourcing for business opportunities for the firm’s subsidiaries.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Master’s Degree holder in Marketing, International Business or Economics
•   Diversified and assertive business development management experience with at least 5 years experience
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint mandatory)
•   Demonstrate an understanding of the challenges facing the industry at present and illustrate a knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed within the industry
•   A good grasp of how business processes evolve
•   Entrepreneurial attitude
•   Plenty of initiative
•   Knowledgeable and familiar with Financials and budgetary processes
•   Must possess excellent financial analytical skills.
