Job Purpose

The Business Support Associates is responsible for the provision of operational support required to ensure the successful day to day functioning of the EPV office. The key activities involved will include the provision of transactional and office infrastructure support services in line with global policies and benchmark covering Finance, IT, HR, Procurement, Facilities & Corporate Assurance.

Through the provision of these services in an efficient and effective manner, the job holder will allow the customer facing national office staff to focus on driving the achievement of the organisational strategic objectives through business development and relationship management.

Nature & Scope

Our main focus is on development of renewable energy technology and we are currently working with other key partners to help low income families break their dependence on inefficient, expensive and harmful light sources by giving them cleaner and cheaper options.

Principal Accountabilities

•   provide operational support for EPV in compliance with global policies, in a cost effective manner
•   ensure that all business support processes and standards are clearly documented, communicated and followed consistently

Qualification Required & Experience

Person Specification

•   at least 2 years’ experience across a broad range of business support functions
•   strongly customer focused, displaying and fostering positive attitudes at all times
•   strong administrative & organisational skills, including good numeracy skills
•   display efficiency, accuracy and thoroughness at all times, keeping stakeholders informed of progress
1)  strong interpersonal skills with the ability to understand internal customer needs and build relationships with colleagues across the organisation
2)  experience of managing supplier contracts and with previous exposure to commercial negotiation
3)  highly motivated, proactive and practical individual, able to work under pressure and balance various requests for assistance
4)  prepared to undertake occasional travel within the local region as required
5)  IT literate with practical experience of the core Microsoft Office suite
6)  knowledge of renewable energy sector  and its intricacies
