Job Summary

•   Reporting to the Treasurer, the role holder will ensure maximum profitability and productivity of the Cash Management Department and the achievement of business plan and objectives, as established by executive management

Key Responsibilities

•   Ensure the maximum profitability and productivity of the Cash Manageent Department and the achievement of business plan and objectives, as established by executive management
•   Coordinate with Retail Bank Executive Director to ensure the smooth working relationship between the Retail Branch and Cash Management and the delivery of quality customer service, while adhering to and complying with bank policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations
•   Determine cash requirements and oversee short term cash assets and liabilities
•   Manage the organisation's bank account, including the oversight of staff responsible for account  reconciliation, transfer of funds, or purchase/sale of foreign currencies
•   Develop annual budgets and plans in relation to Cash Management and Electronic Channels products with P/L ownership, transaction fees and liability generation targets
•   Ensure that each branch is fully funded on regular basis and proactively monitor/optimise the management of excess cash within the branch network and electronic channel
•   Define and manage reporting of cash utilization and ensure excess cash is managed as per the bank procedure and policies.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   First degree in Accounting, Finance or related subject
•   Must possess a professional certification in Accountancy, Treasury or related field
•   An MBA or second degree in Finance, Accounting or related course will be an added advantage
•   A minimum of 6 years Treasury experience with 2 years supervising Cash Management.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

•   Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and manage customer expectations (internal and external) and other stakeholders who impact performance
•   Knowledge of Bank operations products, services and sales techniques
•   Ability to analyse and solve a wide variety of product/business process and customer service problems
