Chemonics International seeks the following operations & administrative staff for the recently-awarded USAID-funded Case Tracking System Project. The purpose of this project is to develop a criminal case tracking system (CTS) to support the Government of Ghana to effectively investigate and prosecute criminal cases.

Chemonics seeks a Chief of Party for the USAID-funded Ghana Case Tracking System. This project will develop a criminal case tracking system to support the Government of Ghana in effectively investigating and prosecuting criminal cases.

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide overall vision and strategy for the implementation and direction of all project activities;
• Serve as the project's primary liaison with USAID, international and regional partners, and host-country government officials;
• Act as primary liaison with the Chemonics' Washington D.C. office in technical and managerial matters;
• Supervise project technical and administrative staff, ensuring staff are successfully managing project activities and operations;
• Work with government counterparts and USAID in defining project activities and targets and ensure close collaboration;
• Oversee itertive project work planning and establish procedures to measure the project's progress against the work plan;
• Ensure compliance with the goals set in the contract and with USAID regulations and Chemonics policies and systems;
• Conduct regularly-scheduled and ad-hoc meetings and workshops with the technical teams and participating organizations for coordination purposes;
• Participate in regular project evaluations to assess progress and recommend adaptations to ensure project success;
• Represent the project with stakeholders to report on planned activities and actions, including implementation status.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Experience working on donor-funded development projects, with a focus on public administration reform, rule of law, or access to justice
• Experience in Ghana
• Management experience, either as Chief of Party or comparable role on donor-funded development projects
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree; JD or Master’s degree with a focus in justice sector reform or related field strongly preferred
• Experience with one or more of the following: institutional capacity building of government and non-government actors; access to justice; and integrating governance and sector-focused (rule of law) activities
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills with evidence of ability to productively interact with a wide range and different levels of organizations (government, private sector NGOs, research institutions)
• Fluency in English required
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
