We are seeking for an Architect or Design Technician and a Civil/Structural Engineer o join our team of managers and design thinkers and doers.

Job Title: Civil / Structural Engineer

Description

The Civil/Structural Engineer will be working on a variety of projects across many sectors, including offices, residential, industrial, recreational, commercial and retail environments. A self-motivated team player with a positive, communicative and collaborative approach, the Civil/Structural Engineer will work in partnership with Architects and Engineers across areas

Responsibilities

•   Responsible for supporting the team in detailed civil engineering design and technical input during the preparation and execution of construction documents and on site
•   Understake structural design analysis and calculations and present professional design reports
•   Lead the technical aspects of the project team and over-see all phases of construction
•   Act as support engineer and technical supervisory manager to the Project Manager, Designers and Project Architects
•   Prepare civil/structural engineering design details and drawings
•   Appraise projects and carry out the necessary quality control and assurance protocols
•   Monitor and evaluate project progress and submit monthly progress reports
•   Preparation of technical reports

Qualification Required & Experience

Requirements

•   Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognised university
•   Expert knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit Structures, Tekla, StaadPro and Tedds
•   Solid understanding of legacy CAD applications and practices, particularly AutoCAD
•   Familiarity with design applications in civil engineering notably survey data analysis. highways and pipe designs
•   Experienced and proficient user of MS Project and/or Primavera project management
•   Able to set uo office standards for the translation for the translation of drawings between these and other plaforms (DWG, IFC, Inventor files)
•   Able to set up office standards for the translation of drawings between these and other platforms (DWG, IFC, Inventor files)
•   Able to organise the CAD workflow, working with 3D and 2D info produced by different team members
•   Team player with leadership skills with a flexible and open attitude
•   Creative and original thinking demonstrated through a strong creative porfolio
•   The ability to support a team with good collaboration skills
•   Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
•   Willing to drive to site visits to our projects mostly in Ghana
•   Minimum of 3 years after national service experience
