Job Vacancy For Commercial Head, Ashanti Territory



We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced sales professional to join our Sales & Distribution team as Head of Commercial in the Commercial Department. (S)He will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and will drive commercial growth in Ashanti, BA and the three northern regions through customer acquisition, distribution and availability of products, drive MFS growth, deliver outstanding customer experience. The Head of Commercial will ensure maximum channel visibility as well as effectively manage own team and channel/partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve MFS growth in all five regions through expanding active MFS agent base as well as liquidity management actions.
• Ensure the availability of GSM products including SIM cards, vouchers and E-PIN across the regions
• Develop and manage an efficient sales infrastructure that grows active POS, POA , FL and MFS agents
• Ensure best in outstanding customer experience of customers interacting at company retail outlets (owned and franchise) within the regions.
• Lead trade marketing visibility across all channel touch points including activation campaigns for visibility/growth.
• Actively grow GSM and MFS customer base.

As a commercial leader,

• Develop and mentor own team(s) and Lead by example;
• Provide instant feedback on challenges and risks, as well as identify opportunities for growth within the regions;
• Develop strategy, direction and growth of own region;
• Collaborate closely with teams for stock availability, KPI’s & targets, incentives, trade marketing and activation campaigns, products and propositions, MFS growth initiatives & liquidity, recruitment, learning & development;
• Build excellent relationship(s) with distributor partners within respective region(s); Provide directions and develop distributor partners towards the company’s operating model.

Reporting and Scope

• You will manage a team of regional sales managers, MFS managers, retail managers, trade marketing reps, indirect and direct sales supervisors, MFS supervisors, etc. This position is a territory role.

Qualification Required & Experience

• A University Degree in any field with emphasis on Marketing/Business Administration and related discipline;
• A minimum of Seven (7) to Ten(10) years’ experience in Sales & Distribution with five (5) years’ leadership experience in managing diverse sales teams;
• Experience in dealer partner and distributor management;
• Experience and understanding of trade marketing and retail (company & franchise stores);
• Solid knowledge of telecom Sales & Distribution including incentive schemes, distributor and MFS business;
• Strong commercial acumen, with a clear understanding of KPI’s.
