Job Vacancy For Credit Analyst



With the desire of becoming a leader in the non-banking financial sector, a growing Non-Banking Finance Institution is looking for highly motivated, innovative and dynamic persons to fill the following position in Accra.

Department: Credit
Reports Directly to: Branch Manager
Scope of Job: The Credit Analyst supports the Branch Manager (BM) in building and managing the loan portfolio to achieve the objectives of the company. These activities include the complete process of loan application, appraisal, documentation, disbursement, monitoring, recovery and other support.

Key Responsibilities

•   Plan, Analyse, coordinate, Monitor and Supervise the activities of the Business Officer's (BO)
•   Conduct an initial interview of loan applicants and submit a report to BM the initial meeting and produce a report for approval and further action and mitigating all risks associated with loan undertakings
•   Advise clients on decisions of Credit Board concerning loan applications
•   Assist clients in the documentation and processing of approved applications
•   Monitor approved loans and advise clients on good management practices
•   Monitor and generate reports of status of credit portfolio
•   Maintain a daily roster of clients of be monitored

Other Responsibilities

•   Provide training to individuals and groups of credit applicants
•   Assisting the BM in the preparation of Operational Returns or client's business
•   Promoting the business of the company through excellent relationships with all stakeholders
•   Maintain contact and healthy relationship with clients and to notify BM of any observations concerning clients business or other affairs which could potentially affect the company

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A degree in Business Administration, Accounting Or Finance, Micro Finance Management, Credit Management and or a part qualified member of a Recognised Professional Accounting Body
•   Minimum of three (3) years practical work experience in a Finance accounting or related work environment
•   Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, spreadsheet, finance and presentation applications, accounting and credit management sofware, etc..
•   Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and the main or widely spoken local languages

Other Skills:

•   Must demonstrate a high sense of courtesy, diligence, integrity and detail orientation
•   Must be in good health and willing to travel on short notice
•   Must be able to socialize excellently
•   Must be smart and able to work under intense pressure
