Job Vacancy For Credit Manager At Topp Recruitment Ghana Limited (Eastern Region)



Our client a reputable Rural Bank in the Eastern Region is seeking to recruit a dynamic experienced and result-oriented person with good leadership qualities and enthusiasm to fill the position as a Credit Manager who will report to the Senior Manager.

Job Purpose

The successful applicant will be responsible for the management of the company's Credit department through effective implementation of the Board and Management strategies and decisions

Key Responsibilities

•   Plan, develop and implement strategy for credit management and development of key credit policies/practices
•   Overall responsibility for the output and growth of numbers and volume of loan portfolio
•   Direct and manage Credit Department and staff of the department
•   Maintain appropriate documents, documentation and other information in the customer credit file
•   Meet with appropriate persons to review the credit/collection function on a regular basis
•   Review and monitor compliance with staff members, the policies and procedures of security agreements (guarantees, liens, bonds, etc)
•   Maintain an appropriate credit risk level
•   Recommend and make appropriate changes to company credit policy
•   Make yearly adjustments to process controls to increase cash flow
•   Effectively work with the sales force to improve credit quality and cash flow
•   Ensure that receivable reports are submitted to all managers and other sales staff on a regular basis or as requested
•   Contribute to review and update procedures and forms on regular basis
•   Any other legitimate task that may be assigned by Management.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A minimum of first degree and MBA in Finance, Accounting
•   Relevant Professional qualification and membership of a recognized body such as CA, ACCA, CIMA

Work Experience

•   A minimum of ten (10) years in Credit Management, with at least five years as a member of the top management team of a Bank or Savings and Loans Company

Essential

•   Strong interpersonal, leadership and people management skills
•   Solid business acumen and highly developed decision making and analytical abilities
•   Strong oral/written communication and conflict resolution skills
•   Government or regulated industry experience is an asset
•   Strong change management skills are desired and
•   Must have stakeholder and customer relationship management skills

Age Limit: Minimum age limit should be 40 years
