Job Title: DCN Team Head Ref: HDCN

Responsibilities

•   Review traffic graphs and alarms of backbone nodes to investigate, take action, document events and follow up
•   Install, provision, troubleshoot, maintain, document, and upgrade routers switches, firewalls, servers, virtual machines, software and IP monitoring tools.
•   Assin, provision, est, modify and disconnect IP/MPLS resources for backbone and customer circuits
•   Perform bandwidth upgrades and downgrades of circuits
•   Configure/change DNS records
•   Schedule, coordinate and perform regular/emergency maintenance for IP, MPLS backbone and any of our equipment platforms
•   Update diagrams, documents and monitoring tools of our IP, MPLS and DCN networks as well as the circuits of customers, upstream providers and peers.
•   Update equipment inventory and trigger replenishment when required

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical/Electronic, Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering or other related discipline
•   A postgraduate degree or professional certification in Telecommunication or Engineering field will be an added advantage

Skills / Competencies

•   Minimum of 8 to 10 years experience in DCN, 5 of which must be in managing a Team on IP/MPLS Network within a telecom company/vendor
•   Must have strong knowledge on routing and switching of Data nodes
•   Must know command line for Juniper and Cisco hardware
•   Must have knowledge Policy Routing, and IP/MPLS
•   Must have strong knowledge on security policy norms
•   Must have good knowledge on Linux, Unix and BSD server knowledge
•   Extensive experience in WAN design, implementation and troubleshooting of Cisco IP-SLA, VLANS, IPv4, IPv6, ISDN, DSL, IP-Sec, Firewalls and network security
•   Experience with feature testing, interoperability and protocol implementations
