Job Vacancy For Deputy Chief Executive Officer At National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA)



Job Purpose:

•   To provide strategic leadership, technical and administrative support for the attainment of the strategic objectives of NPRA.

Duties and Responsibilities

•   Provide healthy financial, human resource management and statutory compliance of players in the Pensions Industry under the Pensions Act.
•   Ensure that the Board objectives and corporate strategies of the Authority are implemented successfully.
•   Advise the Chief Executive Officer on the prudent regulation of Trustees and other service providers registered under the Law, taking into consideration the interests of all stakeholders in the Pension Industry.
•   Maintain a strong linkage with other Regulatory Bodies and stakeholders for the smooth management of the Pension Schemes.
•   Promote good relations with Government and its Agencies, Donor and third parties.
•   Develop mechanisms for, Internal Generation of Funds to support the Authority's activities.
•   Co-ordinate activities of the various Divisions and zonal offices of the Authority.
•   Develop and implement management strategies and plans in line with the long-term goals of the Authority.
•   Ensure that the Authority complies with all regulatory and statutory obligations in Ghana.
•   Act in the absence of the Chief Executive Officer.
•   Perform other functions as the Chief Executive Officer may assign.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A master's degree from an accredited tertiary institution in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Pension Management, Law or any related field.
•   A minimum of twelve (12) years' post-qualification experience, five (5) years of which should have been in a top management position in a financial organisation.

Competencies and Skills

•   Excellent administrative, managerial and leadership skills.
•   Knowledge and understanding of the Ghanaian Pension Industry and in the Sub- Region.
•   Excellent Customer Relationship Management.
•   Good negotiation problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
•   Good knowledge and understanding of Pension Supervision.
•   Ability to handle simultaneously, multiple tasks and changing  priorities is an efficient and effective manner.
•   Very good interpersonal skills.
