Job Description

• To deputise for the General Manager and act in his absence
• The Deputy General Manager will also ensure the execution of the overall opeorational activities of the company in line with the company's policies under the drive of the General Manager to secure maximum profitability
• To achieve company's objectives by researching into opportunities and problems
• Evaluate, analyse and report on administrative and financial performance result
• Maintaining state-of-the-art technology for smooth operations of the bank
• Maintain employee commitment to the company and enforce ethical business practices
• Ensure the preparation and timely submission of company budget and ensure that the assigned areas of responsibility are performed with the approved budget
• Establish work procedures, schedules and workflow to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations
• Provide leadership and direction in the execution of short and medium-term strategic objectives

Qualification Required & Experience

• A Master's Degree in Banking and Finance or its equivalent/BSc Business Commerce, Bsc Banking and Finance or Bsc Business Administration is required
• A professional certificate in ACIB will be added advantage
• Professional qualification in Banking will be an advantage
• At least 10 years working experience in an Executive Management position or a similar role in a Bank
• Exposure to Treasury and credit management
• Complete understanding of relevant financial transactions especially in Banking Operations
• Excellent knowledge of compliance and financial regulations
• Good knowledge in Microsoft suite

Personal Characteristics

• Should be highly motivated and confident
• Aged between 35 to 45 years
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Good report writing and presentation skills
• Ability to multitask while maintaining vigilant attention to details
• Integrity, ethics beyond reproach
