Job Vacancy For Director of Audit At Judicial Service of Ghana



Job Summary

•   Plan, implement and evaluate an effective internal audit system for all financial and non-financial transactions of the Service;
•   Develop internal controls,  procedures ant,  iues for effective  planning and management of the finances of the sen/iCt- ;n line with approved accounting standards;
•   Develop and implement policies and procedures in conformity with Internal Auditing Standards to guide the Internal Auditing of the Service:
•   Prepare and submit monthly audit reports for Ihe attention of the Audit Report implementation (ARIC) Committee and the  Judicial Council;
•   Supervise the conduct of pre-examination of payment vouchers (pre-auditing) and ensuring that budgetary control systems in the Service are adhered to;
•   Any other relevant duties that may be assigned by the Chief Justice or Judicial Secretary.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Masters Degree in Administration/Finance/Accounting from a recognized University;
•   Must be a Chartered Accountant and also hold membership of a relevant professional body. eg. ACCA or CA etc;
•   Minimum of five (5) years post qualification experience in a senior management position;
•   Demonstrated knowledge in auditing in the Public Service;
•   Demonstrated track record in providing overall supervision to an audit team in the       planning and execution of audit assignments/initiatives;
•   Familiarity with the Financial Administration Laws and other relevant laws, rules and regulations governing Public Service operations;
•   Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, creative and problem solving skills;
•   Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and computerised   auditing.
