Role:
Reporting to the District Manager, the successful candidate will transport staff and visitors of the District Office and provide other transportation service to the District Office.

Responsibilities:

•   Conveying staff and visitors to and from assigned destinations in a safe and courteous manner;
•   Liaise with the District Manager to send assigned vehicles to approved garages for periodic maintenance works and servicing   '
•   Fueling vehicles and performing minor maintenance tasks on assigned   vehicles when necessary;
•   Reading and interpreting maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for assignments;
•   Carrying out statutory vehicle documentation and licensing;
•   Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections;
•   Preparing trip reports;
•   Preparing accident and incident reports as and when necessary;
•   Maintaining the general cleanliness of assigned vehicles.
•   Undertaking any other functions as may be assigned by Management.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Applicants with a minimum of JSS Certificate must possess a driver's license "D" and at least 8 years relevant driving experience.
•   Applicants with a minimum of SSCE Certificate must possess a driver's license "C" and at least 6 years relevant driving experience.

Technical & Technological competencies:

•   Ability to drive a multi-passenger vehicle in a safe manner;
•   Ability to read, write and communicate in English language;
•   Ability to read and interpret road signs;
•   Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to the road transport laws and regulations;
•   Ability  to establish effective professional relationships with customers and co-workers;
•   Ability to prepare concise mid accurate records and reports;
•   Extensive knowledge of the operation and features of assigned vehicle(s);
•   Ability to recognise vehicle maintenance needs;
•   Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs;
•   Ability to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions;
•   Ability to administer First Aid.

•   Not older than 35 years,
•   Customer oriented
•   Safety conscious with the ability to maintain confidentiality
•   Ability to meet strict deadlines.
•   High sense of integrity
•   No record of criminal conviction for driving offence.
•   No case of Penalty on Driver's License within the last 2 years.
