Job Title: Electrician - EIT

Mission

• Maintain, repair and ensure interrupted operation of the unit’s electronic and electrical equipment.

Scope:

• Area of responsibility covers electrical equipment on whole unit.
• The management may assign additional tasks not listed in Job Description

Duties:

• Follow PTW system, rules, regulations and work procedures applicable to his responsibilities.
• Know Emergency Shutdown and Fire and Gas Detection systems.
• The maintenance and repair of all electronic and electrical equipment including (not limited to):
o High and low voltage systems
o Radio equipment and navigation equipment
o Internal communications equipment
o Engine room equipment
o Generators and motors
• To report any hazardous situation or equipment failure to SEIT as appropriate
• Carry out routine tests and checks on equipment as required by SEIT
• Monitor spare parts inventory related to the area of responsibility
• Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management System
• Maintenance of computer network
• Undertake training relevant to the position requirements
• On-the-job-training of colleagues and trainees
• Member of the Emergency Response Team

Qualification Required & Experience

• Essential Criteria - to meet the standard of competence of electro-technical officer (ETO) STCW code A-III/6.
• Permitted to carry out maintenance on HV systems
• 5 years’ experience as an EIT
• Standard of competence according to Yinson Competence Assurance Matrix
• Very good written and spoken English
