Job Summary

This individual will ensure that all processes and products of the Plant meet the required quality standards and that all environmental requirements and mitigation interventions as they relate to the treatment process are complied with or undertaken. He/She will also provide effective liaison with the regulatory agencies and undertake:

•   Development and/or documentation of policies, procedures, plans, standards and strategies in respect of process control and environmental management for the Plant, including the maintenance and implementation of same.
•   Monitoring and documentation of performance of the organization with respect to all standards, policies and procedures and as they relate to activities, outcomes and products.
•   Actions to disseminate information in relation to process control and environmental management and assist with development of corrective actions, as required.
•   Interfacing with stakeholders, particularly regulatory agencies in respect of process control and environmental management.

Qualification Required & Experience

The preferred candidate will have:

•   University degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental sciences or a related field plus a post graduate training in Environmental management. A minimum of five years experience will be required
•   Experience in a treatment or processing facility will be an asset
