Job Vacancy For Estate Officer At Regional Maritime University



Applications are invited from suitably qualified nationals from the Republics of Cameroon, The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

JOB PURPOSE
To ensure proper maintenance of all facilities of the University.

DUTIES

•   Ensure that all facilities {e.g. plumbing, electrical etc.) are in good working condition
•   Ensure the maintenance of clean compound in the learning environment
•   Ensure prompt action on routine maintenance of University facilities
•   Appraise subordinate staff
•   Prepare and submit periodic reports on the unit
•   Ensure that minor repair works are carried out promptly
•   Maintain an assets register
•   Perform any other duties assigned from time to time

Qualification Required and Experience

•   A good First Degree in relevant discipline or its equivalent with a minimum of 5 years relevant post-qualification working experience. Membership of a Professional Body is an advantage.

OTHER QUALITIES OR REQUIREMENTS

•   Must possess good supervisory skills
•   Very Good interpersonal communication skills
•   Must have a high sense of responsibility
•   Must be honest
•   Good report writing skills
•   Able to work with minimum supervision
•   A team player
