Job Vacancy For Executive Housekeeper At Labadi Beach Hotel

Reports To: General Manager

Scope and purpose of job

To ensure that the hotel's standard of cleanliness in all guest rooms, laundry and public areas are achieved and maintained

Specific Responsibilities

•   To ensure the efficient and effective running of the laundry operations and its equipment
•   Plan and co-ordinate all stock-takes and prepare monthly linen stock losses report
•   Responsible for cleanliness, orderliness and appearance of the entire Hotel.
•   Ensure that rooms are made a per company standard
•   Prepare annual Housekeeping / Laundry Budget
•   Maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning suppliers, linen and uniform
•   Organise inventories with Accounts and General Store for linen, uniform and fixed assets
•   Pay particular attention while organising pest eradication activities
•   Develop and implement Housekeeping / Laundry systems and procedures
•   Coordinate activities with other departments
•   Assist Purchasing Department in selecting suppliers for items related Housekeeping
•   Attending and resolving guest complaints
•   Inspects and evaluates physical condition of the establishment and additionally submits to management recommendations for  painting, repairs, furnishing, relocation of equipment and additionally reallocation of space
•   Research trade journals in order to be informed of new improved cleaning methods, products, supplier and also equipment
•   Organizes as well as directs departmental training programs, resolves personnel problems, hires new employees and also evaluate employees performance.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or a degree in Business Management with experience in running a business
•   A minimum of 5 years experience in a 4 to 5 hotel in a similar position.
•   Well developed leadership, training and communication skills
•   Attention to detail and ability to create a strong team
•   High level of computer literacy with emphasis on opera and Microsoft Office
•   A good planning, organisational and analytical skills is key for this position
•   Knowledge in industrial relations
•   Ability to maintain standards and costs within the set parameter
