Job Vacancy For Finance and Administrative Officer At Education International of Africa Region



Job Summary

•   be responsible for financial planning and supervising the implementation of financial policies, strategies, systems and controls
•   be responsible for the establishment and implementation of financial/management information systems to facilitate decision making
•   implement system audits, periodic evaluations and internal control mechanisms
•   Ensure effective review and implementation of procurement and general expenditure policies and procedures.
•   appraise all forms of projects, budgets, and cash flow and advise management as such
•   establish systems for budgetary development, adherence and cost control
•   reporting and account on every project as per national regulatory and legal requirements including taxation and general accounting principles and financial laws particularly pertaining to Education International
•   audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
•   analyze, investigate and correct accounting entries as needed.
•   verify and post accounts transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
•   Prepare payroll, statements, invoices, and vouchers.

ADMINISTRATIVE ROLES

•   keep track of all administrative requirements and performance of technical staff and coordinators personnel ( leave, insurance etc)
•   provide human resource management and administrative support to the local secretariat
•   promote and facilitate team work and assist the chief regional coordinator in creating efficient working conditions
•   undertake any other duty as may be directed by Chief Regional Coordinator

Qualification Required & Experience

Post Requirements

•   Education: A degree in Business Administration with a professional qualification in Accounting.

Experience

•   At least 5 years experience in managing the administrative and financial set up of a civil society organization, knowledge and experience in the implementation of local and international legal requirements especially labour laws and the ability to use modern office and spreadsheet software
