A reputable international insurance broking firm is seeking to employ a Financial Accountant to join their team of esteemed professionals.

Duties

• Review and update all accounts in the general ledger and sub ledgers
• Keep and update fixed assets register and track all movements
• Authorize AP invoice in the system for cheques to be written
• Prepare and post period end journals for pre-payment
• Reconcile all bank accounts and follow up on outstanding issues
• Formulate financial strategies, policies, procedures and action plans to achieve maximum growth and profitability of the company
• Any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor

Qualification Required & Experience

• University Degree in Business Administration (Accounting Option) or its equivalent and ICA/ACCA Level 3
• Knowledge in financial accounting
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience
• Ability to prepare and interpret balance sheet, income statements, cash flow statements etc
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and any standards accounting software
