A reputable company in the financial services industry seeks to fill a vacancy for Financial controller.

Job Purpose:

Maximises return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems.

The Financial Controller oversees the day-to-day activities of the finance team and ensures the company's finance function is oranised and efficient and produces accurate financial and management reports.

Duties include:

•   Management of the finance function and overseeing the finance team.
•   Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows
•   Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
•   Preparation of monthly consolidated P&L ad Balance Sheet
•   Timely preparationa nd submission of accurate Bank of Ghana Returns
•   Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports
•   Financial modelling and analysis
•   Cash management and treasury duties
•   Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements
•   Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
•   Overseeing the payroll process
•   Preparation of VAT returns

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Must possess a good first degree from a recognised university
•   Fully qualified ICA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) with previous financial control and management reporting experience

In addition, the successful candidate must:

•   Possess demonstrable experience of managing a team
•   Be confident, a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
•   Must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision-making and a hands-on approach
•   Be computer literate with good excel skills and solid understanding of accounting principles
•   Prior experience with a Bank, Finance House or a Savings & Loans Company is an added advantage
