Job Summary

•   Reporting to treasurer, the role holder will setup, develop, control and coordinate the bank's Fixed Income positions and manage the resulting market risk positions profitably within agreed trading limits

Key Responsibilities

•   Perform market research, analyse market conditions and work with clients to learn their financial goals
•   Assist clients meet financial goals by accurately identifying and purchasing the best fixed-income products for them
•   Manage daily trading to ensure timely execution of the orders and confirming that they are in compliance with regulatory policies
•   Ensure increase income and volumes from customers through offer of innovative solutions and profitable trading in Fixed income market
•   Develop and execute trading strategies in line with the Treasury strategy and the trading mandate
•   Anticipate market developments and identify trade opportunities with risk-adjusted superior returns
•   Oversee the design and development of trading system and infrastructures for fixed income trading
•   Monitor cost and revenues of the Fixed income trading desk as well as the movement and interest rate risk on bond holdings.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   First degree in Accounting, Finance or related subject
•   Must possess a professional certification in Accountancy, Treasury or related field
•   An MBA or second degree in Finance, Accounting or related course will be an added advantage
•   A minimum of 6 years Treasury experience with 2 years supervising Fixed Income Trading.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

•   Good understanding of the global economy and current macro/micro economic trends
•   Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice of fixed income products and markets and an intermediate understanding of other treasury products
•   Good customer service / relationship management
•   Strong negotiation and analytical skills
•   Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
