Job Summary:

• Responsible for performing Account Payables and Receivables activities in the Mobile Financial Services Entity.

Job Role

• Reconciliation of Mobile Money Airtime revenue and Fees in EBS
• Segregation of Mobile Money fees into different revenue lines for monthly reporting
• Segregation of Mobile Money Commissions into different cost lines for monthly reporting in accordance with relevant standards
• Prepare debit note weekly for all Mobile Money EVD Airtime and its tax computation for revenue recognition
• Prepare debit notes weekly for all EVD Data Bundle and its tax computation for revenue recognition
• Prepare Credit note for Mobile Money fees and Airtime
• Process all Mobile Money related payments
• Raise monthly provision for cash in commission and Ericson revenue share
• Prepare JVs for the Cash-in-Commission and Ericson revenue share
• Dashboard to monitor daily liquidations from Finance Mobile Money team
• Reconciliation of the GL and subsidiary accounts with the TB
• Reconciliation of the Mobile Money Revenue and the Commission accounts
• Reconciliation of revenue with the MFS and Revenue Assurance
• Analysis of the mobile money aging balances for collection
• Issue of Invoice to Mobile Money customers
• Advise SSH on all Mobile Money liquidations and payments bookings and matching
• Advise SSH on all other Mobile Money related transactions
• Preparation, Review and Submission of all Mobile Money Withholding Tax Returns
• Preparation, Review and Submission of Mobile Money PAYE for employees
• Computation and Submission of Company Income Tax for Mobile Money Ltd
• Compute Tax liability/refund as required for applicable taxes for the Mobile Money Ltd
• Provide inputs to Senior Tax Specialist (as required) to assist in quarterly forecasts for tax payouts, budgeting provisional tax liability based on approved tax forecasts

Qualification Required & Experience

Education

• A Degree in Accounting/Finance

Experience

• 3 years relevant experience in related field.

Professional/Technical competencies

• A Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Working knowledge of ERP (Oracle preferred)
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Experience in Telecom Finance function
