Job Vacancy For Administration and Finance Officer At International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) – Tamale



Position Summary:
The Administrative and Finance Officer coordinates activities, staff and contractor/partner schedules and administrative and financial needs within the project setting on a day to day basis for general smooth, efficient and effective project operations.

Duties:

•  Assist the Chief of Party and office accounting office staff to accumulate and classify program financial documents
•  Assist in preparation of program financial reports
•  Provide administrative assistance to all project staff, as well as project partners as needed
•  Receive, sort, classify and archive program financial and administrative documentation and presents these in orderly fashion for the IFDC Ghana office, as well as preparation of this information for donor or auditor review purposes.
•  Provide administrative support services relating to travel, meetings, presentations, trainings and other events to the Chief of Party and other project technical staff.
•  Assists in the preparation of reports, presentations, memorandums, subgrants and other correspondence.
•  Serves as the go-to person for general project operational inquiries.
•  Performs any other duties, appropriate to the role, as may be required from time to time.

Supervision: The Administrative and Finance Officer will be working in a national position under the supervision of the Chief of Party (WAFP)

Duty Location: The Admnistrative and Finance Offier will be based in Tamale (Ghana) but should be available to travel within the country when called upon to.

Qualification Required & Experience

Qualifications:

•  Education: minimum of an Associates Degree, higher degree preferred;
•  Minimum of 3 years or more related experience (preferably with an international organization) with emphasis on business administration, finance and general office management skills, preferably on a USAID funded project
•  Must have a record of successful experience as an administrative or financial assistant for project management.
•  Excellent oral and written communication skills;
•  Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy;
•  Highly organized and flexible, and showing initiative;
•  Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines;
•  Must be self-directed and able to complete tasks with limited supervision;
•  Working knowledge of web-based searches (Internet) and email (Outlook), scheduling (Outlook calendar), word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel) and presentation software (PowerPoint);
•  Ability to facilitate and support the work of team members.
