Job Vacancy For Agricultural Policy Personnel At Chemonics International (Accra and Tamale)



Chemonics International, a leading U.S.-based international development consulting firm, seeks expressions of interest from senior and mid-level policy professionals for an anticipated five-year USAID-funded policy and capacity-building project designed to improve the enabling environment for private sector development and improved food security.

The program will focus on agricultural policy activities to increase the competitiveness of the rice, maize, soya and marine fisheries value chains.  These activities are expected to involve agricultural policy research, formulation, implementation,  and policy advocacy.

Chemonics is recruiting for both long-or short-term assignments in the following technical areas:

•  Agricultural policy research and analysis
•  Agricultural legislative drafting
•  Issue analysis and advocacy
•  Data collection, management and statistical analysis
•  Institutional strengthening
•  Monitoring and evaluation
•  USAID grants management

Qualification Required & Experience

Qualifications for technical staff:

•  Minimum of Master’s degree in agriculture, policy, or business-related field
•  Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in Ghana
•  Prior experience with USAID projects highly preferred
•  Experience working collaboratively with the Government of Ghana, private sector actors,     and USAID or other donors preferred
•  Strong interpersonal and communications skills and fluency in English required
