Job Summary:

•Responsible for the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of network element management tools (e.g. Huawei, ZTE, PI Works, Aviat), including performance monitoring applications. Ensure their stability, availability, and compliance through analysis and operational support. Ensuring availability of accurate data in our reporting tools and meeting regulatory obligations of providing NCA with files from our network systems for reporting.

Job Role

Platform Support and Availability

•Ensure all elements of the network management platforms are fully supported, monitored, and available to the business with high integrity.
•Maintain and analyze element management systems (both hardware & software) to ensure optimal functionality, stability, and performance.
•Identify opportunities for process automation (scripts, workflows, reporting tools) to enhance efficiency and accuracy of system support tasks.
•Ensure that implementation of projects is analyzed, validated, and aligned strictly with the approved plan.
•Ensure quality, compliance, and audit standards are monitored and reported in line with specifications, including subcontractor performance, access controls, and regulatory submissions.

Incident and Problem Management

•Liaise with the system support team to analyze issues and provide timely solutions that meet operational requirements.
•Perform detailed analysis and diagnosis of problems associated with network management platforms, using logs, system configurations, and integrations.
•Monitor and analyze system health and incident trends, escalating anomalies proactively and recommending preventive/corrective measures for recurring issues.
•Create, analyze, and follow up on system support as Work Orders (WO), validating implementation outcomes and documenting root causes for any deviations.

Project and Change Management

•Plan, schedule, and analyze outcomes of site visits and surveys for accurate and effective project execution, network design, and integration coordination.
•Support and track the delivery of system projects by analyzing progress, risks, and deviations against time, cost, and scope, and reporting outcomes and corrective actions to stakeholders.
•Document and analyze baseline/target architecture and assess the impact of system changes, upgrades, and patches, ensuring risks are addressed and implementations validated.

Access, Security and Regulatory Compliance management

•Manage and analyze system access controls and user accounts to ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.
•Ensure quality, compliance, and audit standards are monitored and reported in line with specifications, including subcontractor performance, access controls, and regulatory submissions.
•Ensure the timely and complete update of the NCA monitoring systems with raw files from the nodes to meet regulatory requirements, including validation and backup of required data.
•Act as single point of contact for customers or third parties, ensuring issues are analyzed, tracked, and resolved.
•Communicate technical findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Any other roles as assigned by the line manager in relation to the job role

Qualification Required & Experience

Education

•Minimum of a University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related field
•A professional certification in a related field is an added advantage
•Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in Information Technology or Telecommunication environment.

Knowledge

•Fundamental Knowledge in Telecoms (PS/CS Core, RAN, Transmission, etc)
•Sound knowledge in database administration
•Good command of Linux/UNIX system administration
•Sound knowledge of operating system support (OSS) preferably Huawei & ZTE
•Good knowledge of scripting and platform integration
