Job Vacancy For Assistant Manager, Monitoring & Evaluation



Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ghanaians for the following vacant position: Assistant Manager, Monitoring & Evaluation

Job Purpose:

Responsible for effective monitoring and evaluation and evaluation of plans and programmes of the operators of the Minerals and Mining Industry

Duties:

•   Determine whether the various mining companies are keeping to the terms of the agreements governing their operations.
•   Monitor and evaluate the operations of Exploration and Mining companies, especially in respect of manpower, technical, environmental and economic development of these companies
•   Plan and establish major monitoring and evaluation objectives, priorities and activities
•   Process applications for the granting of exemptions for the mining companies
•   Review of technical reports
•   Prepare and submit technical reports
•   Assist in the development and implementation of systems for monitoring and evaluation of various services within the Minerals and Mining Industry
•   Assist in the development of database for monitoring and evaluation indicators
•   Ensure educational drive to discuss and inform on standards, guidelines, innovations etc.
•   Liaise with various departments/divisions in carrying out the monitoring and evaluation activities
•   Review new developments in mining and processing machinery and techniques
•   Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

The prospective candidate must:

•   Be a Ghanaian citizen of at least forty-eight (48) years of age
•   Possess a postgraduate degree in Geology/Exploration Geology from any recognised institution or equivalent professional qualification with at least 10 years post qualification experience in the Minerals and Mining Industry.
