Job Vacancy For Assistant Manager, Procurement



A reputable public organisation is seeking to recruit dynamic, self-motivated and seasoned professionals for employment in the following position:- Assistant Manager, Procurement

Job Summary

•   This role is to assist in the performance of procurement activities in line with established legislations and procedure

Key Responsibilities

•   Assist in keeping and updating suppliers register and report each quarter
•   Assist in the preparation of monthly procurement activity report by first week of each month
•   Assist in arranging the publication of advertisement and notices of contract
•   Assist in coordinating the process of opening of tenders and quotations and ensuring the preparation of formal records in accordance with public procurement Act
•   Assist in evaluation of tender and preparation of reports
•   Assist in processing purchase and service orders to meet timelines
•   Assist with inspection and acceptance of goods, works and services
•   Responsible for the removal and disposal of redundant stock in store

Qualification Required & Experience

•   First Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management
•   Certificate in Procurement and Supply Chain from CIPS is an added advantage
•   A minimum of three years relevant experience

Relevant Skills and Abilities

•   A good working knowledge of the public procurement Act, 2003
•   Enhanced quantitative and analytical skills
•   Good report writing, negotiation and presentation skills
•   Able to uphold and respect procurement ethics and conduct activities with integrity
