Job Vacancy For Board Assistant



Summary of Job Scope:

To act as a Board Assistant under the direction and supervision of the LCS Board Chair.

Job Requirements:

• To attend all Board meetings and Committee meetings in the capacity of Assistant; maintain accurate records, ensure all information isup to date, take minutes in all said meetings, circulate minutes for approval to all committee members, file and document all decisions and minutes in respective google drives. In addition, the Assistant will liaise with the Board
Chair and Committee Chairs to ensure all necessary documentation, including the meeting agenda, is circulated ahead of meeting dates and filed in respective google drives.
• The post holder will be required to support the following meetings with minutes and record keeping of documents.
The Board runs three committees which meet once a month mostly in
person. They are:

• Finance Committee Monthly in person (afternoon meetings)
• Governance Committee – Monthly in person (morning meetings)
• Facilities Committee – Monthly in person (morning meetings)

The Board also runs two other task forces as follows

• DEIJ task force – Monthly in person (afternoon meetings)
• Growth task force – Quarterly in person with occasional ad hoc meetings Full Board Meetings
• Board meetings. – Monthly in person (Evenings)
• Open session Board meetings – Quarterly in person (Evenings)
• Executive Board Session – Ad Hoc

Any other duties commensurate with the responsibilities of a Board Assistant not delineated above.

Qualification Required & Experience

Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in any field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an administrative capacity
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent IT skills especially using google suite.
