Position Overview

Inspire Her Ghana is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to support our fundraising and partnership efforts. The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, securing funding from donors and corporate sponsors, and developing innovative revenue-generating initiatives to support our programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Development

• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with government agencies, non-profit organizations, foundations, and corporate entities aligned with Inspire Her Ghana's mission and objectives.
• Collaborate with program staff to develop partnership proposals and negotiate partnership agreements that support programmatic goals and objectives.

Fundraising and Grant Writing

• Research and identify potential funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
• Develop compelling grant proposals and fundraising appeals to secure funding for Inspire Her Ghana's programs and initiatives.
• Cultivate relationships with donors and corporate sponsors to secure financial support and in-kind donations.

Business Development Initiatives

• Develop and implement innovative revenue-generating initiatives, such as product sales, fundraising events, and cause-related marketing campaigns.
• Identify new opportunities for revenue diversification and sustainability, including social enterprise ventures and fee-for-service models.

Networking and Outreach

• Represent Inspire Her Ghana at networking events, conferences, and other relevant forums to raise awareness of our mission and programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, volunteers, and community members.

Strategic Planning and Reporting

• Contribute to the development of organizational strategic plans and fundraising targets.
• Track and report on fundraising activities, including donor interactions, grant submissions, and revenue generation.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, fundraising, or partnership management, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
• Proven track record of success in securing funding, cultivating partnerships, and developing revenue-generating initiatives.
• Strong understanding of fundraising principles and techniques, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and stewardship.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities for organizational growth and sustainability.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
