A public service organisation in the film sector in Ghana officially invites applications from qualified persons to fill the underlisted vacancy as Business Development Officer

OBJECTIVES OF POSITION

• Focuses on customer acquisition lead generation. and prospect management
• To research stakeholder business referrals network, and web leads, explaining sales practices to provide prospective solutions to the sector
• To develop ideas, initiatives and activities aimed towards enhancing the business profile of the organisation and the film sector.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build solid relationships with key stakeholders both locally and internationally to help identify opportunities
• Develop in depth knowledge of the organizations objectives to direct efforts through strategies that have the potential to expand the film market for the industry
• Establish potential business leads to help create opportunities for the industry
• Research the film industry to identify new opportunities
• Engage content distribution channels to identify and develop new markets for the industry
• Develop winning business proposals and close deals that help to create an enabling environment for industry players
• Research emerging trends and recommend new offerings to enhance the industry
• Cultivates and maintains contacts in various media outlets to influence positively, public perceptions about the Authority
• Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities, developing customized targeted sales strategies
• Building business relationships with current and potential clients
• Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support, answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs)
• Collaborating With sales and leadership to wage, retain, and grow accounts
• Creating informative presentations; presenting and delivering information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences
• Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients; maintaining a database (Salesforce: CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information
• Cold calling; making multiple outbound cats to potential clients: dosing sales and working with the client through the closing process
• Meeting all quotas for cold, active, inactive calls, appointments, and interviews; meeting or exceeding annual sales goals
• Maintaining a pipeline of at sales administration using CRM software
• Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of First Degree in Marketing or related discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent professional qualification
• Must have completed National Service

In addition must-have skills in

• Proposal Drafting
• Negotiations
• Information Technology
• Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue

SKILLS-MIX AND COMPETENCIES

• Good knowledge of sales and marketing principles processes and practices
• Well developed management and loam/anon skills
• Ability to identity opportunities tor improvements in business poky and practices
• Very good oral arid written communication, presentation, consultation and relationship building skill
• Sound grasps of marketing management principles
• Possesses business, management and administrative concepts, principles, best practices, and performance measures to develop and oversee the development and implementation of corporate business plans
