Job Description

•   Manage and motivate a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency;
•   Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control;
•   Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales volumes to maximize profits;
•   Analyze and interpret trends to facilitate planning;
•   Manage staff on the floor and also deal with other staffing issues: interviewing potential staff; conducting appraisals and performance reviews; and providing or organizing training and development;
•   Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met;
•   Resolve health and safety and security issues;
•   Respond to customer complaints and comments promptly;
•   Promote the organization by liaising with organizations, schools, and other institutions to encourage bulk sales/orders and others.
•   Organize special promotions, displays and events;
•   Update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues;
•   Tour the shopping floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues;
•   Maintain awareness of market trends in the cinema industry, understand forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitor what competitors are doing;
•   Initiate changes to improve the business, e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the market;
•   Ensure that floor is neat and tidy at all time
•   Ensure that company policies are implemented
•   Organise regular staff meetings
•   Write weekly reports to management
•   Ensure that daily sales is balanced on daily basis
•   Supervise merchandise to increase sales.
•   Minimise losses and increase profits
•   Schedule movies weekly and strategically
•   Ensure that movie updates are sent out to all media platforms on timeously

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of first degree.
•   Five year working experience in any of the following business environment:  Cinema, Hospitality or Retail in general.
•   Team player
•   Problem solver
•   Excellent communication skills
•   Computer literate
•   Ability to work at all times, including late evenings and holidays
•   Must be reliable and have high personal integrity
•   Good leadership skills
