A leading producer of wines, spirits, cider and flavored alcoholic beverages invites suitably qualified and experienced applications for the following positions based at our production plant in Accra, Ghana.

Cellar Controller

The incumbent will report to the report to the Operations Manager.

Key Performance Areas would include, but not are not limited to:-

•  Ensuring that Quality Management Systems are implemented and maintained
•  The receipt, storage, blending and issuing of bulk liquor according to prescribed standards
•  The effective management of bulk stock in order to minimise losses and write-offs
•  Ensuring that cellar equipment is maintained in-line with prescribed standards
•  Liaising with relevant departments concerning planned production
•  Performing relevant administrative duties
•  Management and development of staff
•  Executing effective stafy/housekeeping in adherence to Risk, Health & Safety and Environmental standards
•  Performing ad hoc tasks and stand-in duties as required by the Operations Manager
•  Participating in mini-business activities (MDWT)

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills

•  Previous experience within the liquor industry in a similar capacity
•  Competence in the use of Pastel would be advantageous
•  Working knowledge of Health and safety standards and procedures
•  Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential
•  Attention to detail with the ability to work accurately.
•  Proven verbal and written communication skills in English
•  Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team
•  Ability to work under pressure
•  Must be able to think innovatively
•  Ability to cope with the inherent physical demands of the position
•  Must be willing and able to work extended hours (overtime) and or shifts when required
•  Must have reliable transport to and from work

Qualification Required & Experience

•  A recognised and relevant Degree / Diploma in Cellar Technology or Natural Science (e.g. Food Technology, Analytical Chemistry) or equivalent qualification
