The Presbyterian Centre for Vocational Instructors' Development (PRECEVID) is a centre of Excellence to train Professionals for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in Ghana.

Job Summary:

PRECEVID is a new and still evolving centre located in Kumasi and seeks dedicated, energetic and competent persons to occupy position in the Hospitality Unit.

Role:

•  Plan, direct and supervise the food preparation and cooking activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
•  Prepare and cook food of all types either on regular basis or for special guest functions
•  Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services
•  Co-ordinate planning, budgeting and purchasing for all the food operations within the hotel
•  Research and input into course content, learning materials and methods of instruction in areas of specialisation
•  Conduct on-the-job training to facilitate principles, techniques, procedures and or methods of cooking of trainees in the hospitality/department

Qualification Required & Experience

Minimum of HND (Institutional Management) with emphasis on food production, preparation and cooking and at least 2 years pre-HND experience in Industry

Competencies:

•  Displays high knowledge of commercial kitchen procedures
•  Good communication and interpersonal skills
