A leading investment Banking institution within the financial industry in Kumasi is looking for a suitably qualified goal-oriented and result-driven person for appointment to the position of: Chief Executive Officer

Job Description

Alongside other functions that may be assigned by the Board of Directors from time to time, the Chief Executive Officer will be required to perform the following functions:

• Grow the company's customer portfolio and increase profits through effective deposit mobilization
• Develop and implement policies to ensure that performance targets are achieved
• Develop and implement training and succession plan programmes for staff to enhance operational efficiency
• Ensure adherence to good governance, investment regulations and industry standards
• Ensure that investments activities are carried out in a safe and secure atmosphere
• Preparation and submission of financial reports to the Board of Directors and to attend Board meetings
• Represent the Company's interest in accordance with policy guidelines in its dealings with stakeholders
• Ensure optimum utilization of all human resources of the company to e shortages and surpluses
• Keeping the financial position of the company under critical scrutiny to eliminate fraudulent activities by putting in place strong internal control measures
• Provision of effective communication link between management and the Board of Directors
• Ensuring that all matters that affect health, safety, welfare and conflict are dealt with to the satisfaction of all interested parties

Qualification Required & Experience

• A good first degree in Finance/Banking/Accounting from a recognized institution
• A postgraduate qualification such as in above will be an advantage
• Membership of a relevant professional body in Finance, Banking or Accounting is desirable
• Ghana Investment & Securities Institute or GSE Securities Course Final Certificate

Key Competencies

• Financial reporting capabilities - a good understanding and knowledge of budget preparation and cash flow management
• Possession of good understanding and working knowledge of international financial reporting standards
• A good knowledge of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) systems of operation and other regulatory institutions in the financial sector
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Understanding of business, government and industry processes
