Job Vacancy For Chief Executive Officer



Job Purpose

•To lead the implementation of council decisions by providing overall direction, coordination and supervision of strategic initiatives in such a manner as to position CIHRM, Ghana, as a reputable Professional HR Body recognised locally, regionally and internationally.f1+

Key Duties and Responsibilities

•Coordinate the development of the institute's strategic plan and develop short and medium-term strategies to achieve the deliverables of the strategic plan
•Supervise the effective management of the institute's finances and implement strategies to optimize the existing revenue streams and create new ones
•Provide direction in the formulation and implementation of human resource policies, procedures and programmes to guide the effective management of the institute's human capital
•Work closely with HR, Finance, Audit and other committees of council to develop and implement governance and compliance systems and structures to mitigate risks
•Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the institute's visibility and membership drive
•Provide overall supervision and marketing of the institute's professional certification programme (PCP), continuing professional development (CPD), consultancy and research services/products.

Qualification Required & Experience

•A minimum of a Master's degree in human resource management or related qualification from a reputable university
•A minimum of a Chartered Member of the institute or equivalent professional qualification, with not less than 15 years post-qualification relevant work experience
•A PhD degree will be an added advantage
•Proven track record of HR accomplishments in a C-Suite or senior management position in an industry or academia.

•Knowledge of the relevant labour laws and the regulatory environment
•Proficiency in financial management and marketing
•Ability to plan, coordinate and execute work programmes and plans
•Ability to leverage modern technology to drive operational excellence
