Job Description

• Aligning financial planning and strategy with business planning and company strategy, including multi-year budgets, trend analysis and scenario modeling
• Providing overall leadership to the finance team and ensure that financial reporting is delivered in line with company policies, standards and applicable rules and regulations
• Overseeing and managing the annual budgeting process, regular forecasting, and other analysis as required to recognised patterns in revenues and expenditures and recommend solutions in order to improve financial performance
• Managing the assets and liabilities of the company with the objective to minimize the financial risks and exposure
• Leading role in managing and supervising the preparation of the management accounts and financial statements of the company in line with IFRS
• Ensuring timely delivery of company management accounts and other relevant reports to the Group and external stakeholders
• Managing the external audit process to ensure that the financial statements align with IFRS and regulatory standards of the country and timely delivery of reports
• Enhancing and developing financial infrastructure and department resources to ensure their stability and improving performance to support the demands of future growth
• Ensuring all statutory requirements of the organisation are met including tax
• Delivering accurate financial reports and analysis to the board and executive team, supporting effective financial management
• Leading the treasury activities of the company in coordination with Group treasury, to improve its liquidity and capitall structure oversee cash management, banking and managing the relationships and transactions with banks and other lenders
• Implement new bank technologies, products and services to improve cash cycle and simplify company operations
• Manage inter-company cash, including inter-company lending, dividends and capital injections
• Manage any currency exposure of the company

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum of 7 years management experience in finance, banking or accounting role
• Advanced degree in accounting, business, finance or related field
• Proficiency in financial reporting, analysis and trend monitoring having in-depth knowledge of IFRS standards
• Solid knowledge and experience in financial budgeting and forecasting
• Sound knowledge of finance and accounting principles, external audit, international tax laws and best practices
• Experience in major international accounting, management consulting or multinational furm is beneficial
• Banking or microfinance experience would be an advantage
• Treasury and currency risk management experience would also be an advantage
• Board reporting and program management experience
• Strong leadership and change management skills
• Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, multicultural, multidisciplinary team and deliver high quality work within deadlines to meet objectives
• High proficiency level in verbal and written English
• Strong excel and finance/accounting software skills
