Job Vacancy For Chief Security Officer At Old Mutual Company (Ghana) Limited

Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in exciting positions that have arisen within Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (Ghana) Limited.

The incumbent will be accountable for the day to day administration of facilities security systems and processes, including the overseeing of the respective facilities security guards both internal and outsourced, through own efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities

•   Ensuring security of staff and property
•   Supervision of Investigation of security breaches, theft, fraud and other irregularities
•   Supervision of the maintenance of security equipment
•   Produces Information Reports for Information/action by the respective Departmental Managers
•   Ensures proper security clearances for new staff to be appointed and motor vehicles to be acquired
•   Responsible for security investigations of thefts, fraud and other irregularities
•   Administers security equipment and ensures that the equipment is maintained to standard, using a Maintenance Service Report from the vendor as a management tool
•   Appoints and coordinates Project Committees, using Tender Rules and Procedures to decide on the purchase of major Security Equipment
•   Attends to faults on equipment and liaises with the vendor regarding any specialized cases
•   Attends to security reports on security equipment failure, breach of security procedures, and incidences recorded in the Occurrences Book from Departmental Managers, Security Officers and Guards or from Security System reports
•   Responsible for the production of Equipment Specification Reports when required and to assist in selection of any replacement of new Security equipment
•   Assigns the day to day duties to respective subordinate staff
•   Creates a climate for optimal performance

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A degree in Security and Risk Management or equivalent
•   Relevant Industry certified qualifications
•   At least five years’ experience at managerial level in Corporate Security Management
•   Military, Police and or Law Enforcement background will be an added advantage
•   At least five years’ experience at managerial level in Facilities Security management
