Job Vacancy For Clinical Youth Trainer / Midwife At Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG)



Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG) has vacancy for well-oriented and energetic individuals with relevant qualifications and experience to occupy the positions listed below in the organisation. MSIG's goal is to meet the needs of the Underserved and improve access to the use of family planning and other sexual reproductive health services. MSIG is part of Marie Stopes International's global partnership, which operates in over 43 countries worldwide.

The key purpose of the role of Clinical Youth Trainer is to ensure standardised and high quality clinical trainings and quality technical assistance that will impart positively on the quality of clinical services delivered to young people among MSIG clinical service delivery channels (Centres of Excellence, Outreach and Social Franchising) in line with the global MSI mantra of One World One Standard.

Responsibilities include:

•   Assess, plan innovative youth training programmes
•   Provide guidance in preparation of trainings materials for various levels of trainees and adapt existing materials to meet young people's needs
•   Collaborate with the Clinical Training Manager to ensure that all trainees have the necessary practising documents and models for trainings
•   Undertake clinical training and capacity building activities for facilities to become "Youth Friendly".
•   Support supervision of facility staff and ensure that new clinical teams are well inducted in the youth friendly approach to clinical service delivery
•   Co-ordinate the writing of a comprehensive monthly clinical training / Quality Technical Assurance reports and make recommendations for action to be taken
•   Assist with interviews relating to clinical issues to protect MSIG's reputation

Qualification Required & Experience

The Person Must

•   Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and or Midwifery
•   Very experienced senior nurses and midwives with practical experience in training and youth friendly services are encouraged to apply.
•   Certification by a reputable institution as a clinical trainer for SRH services / Evidence of ever having provided youth friendly services will be an advantage
•   Evidence of good standing with a recognised clinical related professional body
•   At least 6 - 7 years post-graduation experience in clinical service delivery and training position
•   Experience of working in Sexual and Reproductive Health that involved young people Copied at: ghanacurrentjobs.com
•   Excellent presentation, training and mentoring/coaching skills
•   Understand educational theory and demonstrate commitment to educating young people on SRH issues
•   Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
•   Good knowledge of computers (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and/or willingness to advance these skills
