Job Vacancy For Compliance Officer At ASA Savings and Loans Limited



ASA Savings and Loans Limited is the sister organization of ASA International, working in nine countries in Asia and Africa with a view to create access to credit facility among the small and medium type of entrepreneurs. ASA is looking for suitably qualified persons to fill the above position.

Responsibilities:

•   Assist the Head/Compliance in managing the compliance function
•   Develop and implement policy & regulatory procedures to ensure compliance with legal & regulatory framework
•   Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual compliance monitoring reports
•   Ensure corrective action implemented as required by management
•   Administer training and provide updates information on regulatory & legal issues to employees and undertake adhoc projects
•   Review all documentation to ensure institutional compliance
•   Verify compliance levels through compliance review and monitoring procedures
•   Implementation of new legislation and regulation and determine the impact on existing processes and procedures

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A high ranking retired police officer or army officer
•   Good acumen for the compliance function and ability to demonstrate appreciable understanding of the framework and regulations
•   Excellent analytical & problem solving skills coupled with decision making ability
•   Considerable knowledge of banking operations, products, practices & regulation
•   Experience in report writing

Education qualification:

•   The candidate must have at least first degree. Any professional degree will be an added advantage
