The Need

After almost 25 years of continued growth and operational success in pioneering the work of protecting those who are experiencing poverty from violence, IJM has become a $100+ million organization. International Justice Mission, Ghana is seeking individuals who are versed in administration and human resources background to fill the Coordinator, HR and Administrative Management Position. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Support Services.

The position will be based in Accra, Ghana with little or no travel as may be required.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist the HR Specialist to recruit new talent to IJM, administer the interview process and conduct reference and background checks.
• Assist the HR Specialist to administer new employee onboarding and orientations.
• Assist the HR Specialist to ensure office spiritual formation, and employee wellness.
• Assist the HR Specialist in the administration of Staff Care – Health Insurance, Counselling, Peer Support, Retreats, Parties, etc.
• Develop, update, and keep accurate employee data in a confidential manner.
• Ensure contracts and employment practices comply with the laws of Ghana and the policies and procedures of IJM Ghana and the global organization.
• Assist HR Specialist and HOD’s in creating, reviewing, and recording employee evaluations.
• Assist HR Specialist to update and execute professional Employee Manual.
• Support the HR and Admin Departments in routine paperwork, data collection and administrative tasks.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum one-year hands-on Human Resources and Administrative experience, preferably a non-profit organization.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or equivalent degree.
• Knowledge and understanding of HR processes and principles of managing confidential information.
