Job Vacancy For Coordinator, Project IT Project Implementation



Job Summary:

• Responsible for coordinating and supervising IT projects under the guidance of the project managers, making sure they are completed on time, within budget and according to MTN Specifications, Quality standards, PPP, and CPM Tool Kits

Job Role

• Responsible for execution of assigned projects within timelines defined
• Follow through with Program SteerCo and project members to ensure project execution is not compromised
• Ensure all project cost incurred are within assigned project budgets.
• Supervise and monitor assigned Project Quality and identify related risks and migration actions.
• Timely and consistent progress reporting on projects to Project Manager and needed stakeholders
• Ensures that all projects are managed according to sound project management principles
• Ensures proper policies, processes and procedures are put in place for the transition from project to operations within six months of close of project
• Ensure effective coordination across project streams to manage dependencies and resolve project bottlenecks
• Ensure project team understands local market conditions and can adapt delivery of processes to this
• Hold project stakeholders’ engagement sessions to discuss project updates and align on actions
• Responsible for identifying project timescales, costs and resources needed for assigned projects
• Draw up a detailed plan for how to achieve each stage of the project, including contingency plans in case any problems arise
• Negotiate with outside contractors and suppliers for materials and services

Qualification Required & Experience

Education

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or Engineering
• PMP or PRINCE2 Certification

Experience

• 3 years of experience in Project Management with relevant experience in supervising projects

Professional/Technical competencies:

• Working knowledge of basic software languages, like HTML and C++
• Understanding of the process of application development and SDLC to see a software development project through and to manage quality
• Adequate knowledge in cloud computing
• Should have good understanding of the digital imperative and why transformation is required.
• Basic knowledge of IT architecture (infrastructure and Business flow) and standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of security controls in information security
• Adequate knowledge of product lifecycle
• Adequate knowledge in IT configuration management
• Adequate knowledge and/or experience in deploying any kind of database.
• Knowledge of telecommunication standards including GSM, UMTS, LTE and 5G
• Knowledge and experience with wireframe diagrams, user journeys, requirement documents etc.
